1. Introduction
At Mahidha, we are committed to delivering jewellery crafted with care, quality, and attention to detail. This Warranty Policy explains the warranty coverage available on eligible Mahidha jewellery products. This Warranty applies only to manufacturing defects and is subject to the terms and conditions set out below.
2. Warranty Period
Mahidha provides a One (1) Year Limited Manufacturing Warranty from the date of delivery of the product. The warranty period begins on the date the product is successfully delivered to the customer. Proof of purchase may be required to validate warranty claims.
3. Products Covered
This Warranty applies to eligible Mahidha products including Sterling Silver Jewellery, Gold-Plated Sterling Silver Jewellery, Pearl Jewellery, Gemstone Jewellery, Necklaces, Bracelets, Rings, Anklets, and Earrings — unless otherwise stated on the product page.
4. What Is Covered
The Warranty covers genuine manufacturing defects including:
Structural Defects — broken solder joints, faulty clasps, defective hooks, defective closures, manufacturing-related breakage.
Setting Defects — loose stone settings caused by manufacturing issues, improperly secured pearls caused by manufacturing defects.
Material Defects — defects in metal workmanship, defects in craftsmanship identified upon inspection.
Coverage applies only where Mahidha determines that the issue resulted from a manufacturing defect.
5. What Is Not Covered
Normal Wear and Tear — surface scratches, dents, minor marks, general aging.
Sterling Silver Tarnishing — sterling silver naturally oxidizes and may tarnish over time. Tarnishing is a normal characteristic of silver and is not a manufacturing defect.
Gold Plating Wear — gradual fading or wearing of gold plating due to use is normal and not covered under this Warranty.
Accidental Damage — impact damage, dropping the jewellery, bending, crushing, misuse.
Chemical Damage — damage caused by perfume, cosmetics, hair products, cleaning agents, chlorine, and chemicals.
Water Damage — damage resulting from swimming, bathing, or excessive moisture exposure.
Unauthorized Repairs — any repair, modification, resizing, soldering, polishing or alteration carried out by a third party.
6. Pearl-Specific Exclusions
Pearls are natural and delicate materials. The Warranty does not cover surface wear from use, natural aging, loss of lustre due to improper care, damage caused by chemicals, or damage caused by impact. Natural variations in pearls are not defects.
7. Gemstone-Specific Exclusions
The Warranty does not cover chipped stones, cracked stones, scratched stones, impact damage, or damage caused by improper handling. Natural inclusions and colour variations are not defects.
8. Handcrafted Product Disclaimer
Many Mahidha products are handcrafted. Minor variations in texture, finish, stone placement, and pearl shape are natural characteristics and are not covered under warranty.
9. Warranty Claim Process
To make a warranty claim, customers must contact Mahidha with the order number, proof of purchase, product photographs, and a description of the issue. Additional information may be requested during evaluation.
10. Product Inspection
All warranty claims are subject to inspection by Mahidha. Mahidha may require product photographs, video evidence, or physical return of the product. Warranty coverage will be determined after inspection.
11. Warranty Remedies
Where a valid manufacturing defect is confirmed, Mahidha may, at its discretion: Repair the product where feasible; Replace the product with the same or substantially similar product; issue Store Credit where replacement is unavailable; or provide a Refund where repair or replacement is not reasonably possible.
12. Shipping for Warranty Claims
If a manufacturing defect is confirmed, Mahidha may cover reasonable shipping costs associated with the warranty claim. Where a claim is determined to be outside warranty coverage, customers may be responsible for shipping costs.
13. Limitation of Warranty
This Warranty is limited to manufacturing defects only. No other warranties, express or implied, are provided except where required by applicable law.
14. Transferability
This Warranty applies only to the original purchaser and is not transferable without Mahidha's written approval.
15. Consumer Rights
This Warranty is provided in addition to rights available under applicable consumer protection laws. Nothing in this Warranty limits statutory consumer rights.
16. Force Majeure
Mahidha shall not be liable for delays in warranty processing caused by events beyond reasonable control, including natural disasters, government restrictions, transport disruptions, labour disputes, and public emergencies.
17. Policy Changes
Mahidha reserves the right to amend this Warranty Policy at any time. Updated versions will be published on the Website.
